‘Twas the night before Christmas
\nAnd strange as it seems
\nJ.P. and Wendy were relaxing
\nTheir apartment was clean!
\nThey’d watched Lost<\/em> off of Netflix,
\nTen episodes or more,
\nOdd since they’d just started
\nWatching two days before.
\nThey’d sung ‘long with Sufjan,
\nRead some Lord of the Rings,
\n<\/em>Watched Peanuts and Garfield
\nFrom Bittorrent streams.
\nAnd soon they’d be dreaming
\nOf lenses and lights,
\nSoftboxes and snoots
\nTo make portraits look right.
\nBut first to their blog
\nThey posted scenes of cheer
\nTo thank friends and clients
\nFor a wonderful year!<\/p>\n

Wendy and I are celebrating our third Christmas together as husband and wife and, if you’ll pardon a little bit of bragging, I’m reminded that I am the luckiest man on earth. Seriously, how many guys have a wife who can decorate cookies like this?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’m guessing very, very few.<\/p>\n

I’d also expect that there aren’t too many wives who would indulge their husbands in decorating their gingerbread men to resemble web comic characters.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Meet Faye and Marten…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

…and Winslow and Pintsize.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Now say goodbye to Pintsize.<\/p>\n

Besides decorating cookies, we got ready for Christmas by going to “The Lights Before Christmas” at Riverbanks Zoo.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>(I think Wendy looks good in red, don’t you?)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I don’t know if the fish were in the Christmas spirit or not. Some of them were kind of sparkly, though.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Meanwhile the Lizards were decked out in their best Christmas green.<\/p>\n

Wendy and I wish you a very merry Christmas and suggest that you put a star on your tree…<\/p>\n

…snuggle up with someone you love…<\/p>\n
