that, but first, meet Miriam and Rosey, instructors at this uniquely butt-kicking workout and conditioning studio in Columbia, SC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Seriously, it is <i>one<\/i> of a kind.\u00c2\u00a0 Not only is it rare to find a Gyrotonic studio anywhere in SC, but this one is owned by Miriam Barbosa, one of Columbia, South Carolina\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s treasures.\u00c2\u00a0 Let me fill you in\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being an Authorized Master Trainer of the Gyrotonic methodology, Miriam is an expert in the fields of dance and choreography.\u00c2\u00a0 She is a former member of the acclaimed Martha Graham Dance Company and founder of the South Carolina Contemporary Dance Company.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re talking \u00e2\u20ac\u0153artiste\u00e2\u20ac\u009d pronounced the way you learned it in French class (but with no pretensions).\u00c2\u00a0 Here is an <a title=\"interview with Miriam Barbosa\" when we studied dance together at the SC Governor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s School for the Arts and Humanities. \u00c2\u00a0When we reconnected several years after college, I learned that she had become a professional trainer at Gyrotonic Columbia.\u00c2\u00a0 Simply put, Rosey is beauty, strength, and grace in one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a exercise is this?\u00c2\u00a0 Well, I won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t pretend that I can do the moves you just saw with such finesse, but I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve had the chance to experience the Gyrotonic method first hand with these ladies, and I can honestly say that it is for everyone!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onebodyinc.com\/Studio\/Main.aspx?Page=juliubio\" target=\"_blank\">Juliu Horvath<\/a>, a man with his own interesting story, developed the Gyrotonic exercises, equipment, and technique.\u00c2\u00a0 Many of the movements give you the sensation that you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re swimming, doing yoga, or dancing.\u00c2\u00a0 What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not to love?\u00c2\u00a0 Though you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re working your body the whole time, the movements feel wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>With the right trainers (see images above and below), anyone can do them and improve strength, stamina, flexibility, and coordination!\u00c2\u00a0 No dance, swimming or yoga background necessary.\u00c2\u00a0 Promise.<\/p>\n<p>Miriam and Rosey are people you need to know.\u00c2\u00a0 They are caring
